Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP)
Tap Tight Plumbing and Heating Engineers Ltd are proud to announce we are now a recognised MSC certified installer covering Air Source Heat Pumps. Using an MCS certified installer ensures that equipment meets good standards of performance and that installers are technically safe and competent.
If you generate heat for your home from a renewable source and the installation is by an MCS certified installer, you could be eligible to apply for a £5000 grant to replace your boiler with a more environmentally-friendly heating system.
An Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) is a system which absorbs heat from the outside air. The heat can then be used to heat radiators, underfloor heating systems, or warm air convectors and provide domestic hot water in your home.
The benefits of installing an Air Source Heat Pump:
- Reduce your heating bills
- Cut your carbon footprint
- Can heat your home as well as your water
Maintaining an Air Source Heat Pump
An ASHP requires regular scheduled maintenance which Tap Tight Plumbing and Heating offer. We recommend a service is carried out yearly to check that the air inlet grill and evaporator are free of leaves or other debris.
