Environmentally friendly – Hybrid Air Source Heat Pump in Nettlebed RG9
Hybrid Air Source Heat Pump in Nettlebed
Hybrid Air Source Heat Pump installed in a mid 60s bungalow in Nettlebed. Customer was converting some of the space to underfloor heating and wanting to become more environmentally friendly.
The house has not been insulated to a level that would make a Hybrid Air Source Heat Pump on its own viable. But the fact that he was adding underfloor heating and we were able to increase the size of all of the radiators we suggested an Air Source Heat Pump hybrid installation. This meant that the client could run the air source heat pump to heat the property and for the hot water, but we also installed oil boiler hybrid to kick in if the temperatures required a quick increase in heat and hot water demand.
It was a great investment for the customer, who was still able too benefit from our MCS registered installation, and will have a positive impact on the environment.
Even though it is a hybrid system he will be able to benefit from the green scheme till March next year. You can get up to £5000 back from the government on any new installation.
