When a boiler needs replacing, cost is often the first worry. Boiler finance is one way to spread that cost instead of paying for a new installation upfront, and it works the same way whether you’re in a mains gas town like Henley-on-Thames, off the gas grid in Nettlebed or somewhere else in the Thames Valley.

How is the finance arranged?
Total Heating works with Novuna Personal Finance to offer finance on new boiler installations, including Worcester Bosch boilers as an Accredited Installer. This applies whether you’re financing a combi replacement in Cookham or an oil boiler upgrade in a Nettlebed farmhouse, it works the same way regardless of postcode. We act as a credit broker, not a lender, and don’t receive a fee for the introduction. Finance is offered subject to status and a credit check, which needs to be completed before any work starts.
What does a boiler finance plan look like?
Here’s a representative example of one of the plans currently available:
- Total cash price: £1,875.00
- Deposit: £625
- Term: 10 months
- Monthly payment: £187.50
- APR: 0%
- Total amount payable (including deposit): £2,500
- Total charge for credit: £0.00
The deposit, term and monthly payment on your own plan will depend on the boiler you choose and the outcome of the credit check, so this example is a guide rather than a fixed price. Our team will talk you through the actual options for your installation before you commit to anything.
Am I eligible for boiler finance?
You’re likely to be eligible if you:
- Are at least 18 years old
- Have been a UK resident for more than 3 years
- Have a personal bank account that allows direct debits
- Live in a house you own
- Are in permanent employment (minimum 16 hours a week), self employed, retired, on disability allowance, or unemployed with a cohabiting working partner who consents
- Have an email address and phone number
You’re unlikely to be eligible if you’re a full time student (unless you’re a trainee nurse or doctor), a supply teacher without a permanent contract, working via an agency in a temporary role, an unregistered childminder, or unemployed without a partner in full time employment.
Does it matter which area I’m in?
No. Whether you need a combi replacement in Henley-on-Thames, a system boiler upgrade in Sonning, or an oil boiler replacement in Nettlebed, the same finance options apply. Boiler finance isn’t tied to fuel type or property type, it’s tied to the cost of the installation and your eligibility.
Is there interest on boiler finance?
Some plans, including the representative example above, come with 0% interest. Whether that’s the option available for your installation depends on the boiler and plan you choose. Ask our team which options currently apply before you go ahead.
Can I change my mind after applying?
Yes. A 14 day cooling off period applies to all applications. If you cancel within that window, you’ll need to pay the full outstanding balance in an alternative way.
